Air knife coating head for paper coating machine

Introduction:
1) The air knife coater uses air that is ejected by pressurization, to control coating amount and make the coating layer smooth.
2) Air knife coating has the advantage of being able to get a thick coating amount, the coating layer is relatively uniform, paper breaking occurs rarely during coating process. It is especially suitable for pressure-sensitive coating. Under normal circumstances we recommend the air knife way, with air separator, less splash.

Machine composition:
1. Air knife (eagle beak type):            
Composed by the up and bottom lip plates, air knife body, air distribution tube. Up and bottom lips made of the forged 304 stainless steel, though multiple precision processing, knife body made of cast aluminum alloy. The shape of the air knife blade can make high-speed air flow along the breast roll tangent direction, with merit of good quality coating, less spray and so on.

2. Air knife adjustment                 
Knife gap can be adjusted between 0.3-1.0mm. The distance between the knife and the backing roll and angle can be adjusted by adjusting the frame, and air pressure can be adjusted to control the coating weight. Knife lip made of stainless steel 304.

3. Air knife backing roll                         
During the coating process, the paper with excess coating color wrapping around the backing roll, and the roll surface becomes the supporting surface for the paper to bear the airflow. The cooperation between the air flow and the air knife position is used to meter the coating amount. Air knife backing roller Φ270mm x 1950mm, roll body is seamless steel pipe, rolling bearings SN209, surface hard chrome plated, thickness 0.08mm, roughness less than Ra0.5.

4.The feeding roll                             
Φ216mm x 1950, 2 sets, the roll made of seamless steel pipe, rolling bearings SN208, top roller, hard chrome plated treatment, thickness 0.08mm, roughness less than Ra0.5, with its own drive of three-phase asynchronous motor 1.5kw, and bottom roller, covered with Nitrile rubber, thickness 14mm, with its own drive of three-phase asynchronous motor 1.5kw.

5. Metering rod                              
Metering rod device mainly plays the role of the pre-metering of coating amount, by scrap exceed color on the paper to reduce the air knife metering burden, and reduce the color splash. Metering rod diameter Φ60mm, chrome plated, with its own drive motor 0.25kw.

6. Color tray                           
Paint tray made of stainless steel 304, thickness1.5mm, there are two trays, feeding roll tray and backing roll tray, respectively for storage and recovery of coating color.

7. Air separator device                   
Due to high speed and high wind pressure, in order to prevent the coating splash phenomenon, design the color splash recovery device, made of 304 stainless steel. The power of the air separating fan is 4Kw.

8. High-pressure pump                   
Select special series of energy-saving Roots pump, pump power 30Kw. The pump is characterized by high wind pressure, low noise, wind pressure stable, 20-60kPa.

9. Compressed air system                 
Equipped with air treatment components and controlling components. Pneumatic controlling action: the press roll arms.

10. The frame                            
Box-type structure, welded, the air knife coater is separated from the main frame.
